Martha “Edie” Griffin

Martha “Edie” Griffin of East Berlin died Thursday September 16, 2021 at Abbott Manor in Waterbury. She was the wife of the late Henry Griffin. Edie was born in Milford June 22, 1931, daughter of the late Fred Richardson and Martha McCoy. She worked as a secretary for Connecticut Mental Health in New Haven for many years until retiring. She was a parishioner of St. Martin de Porres Church in New Haven. Edie is survived by her son David Santos of Middletown; her granddaughter Nicole Santos of

Florida, her brother, Robert (Dorothy) Gill of Branford, her sisters, Mary Beamon of West Haven and Alice Watts of PA, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning at 11:00 in the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, with visiting hour prior to ceremony from 10:00 – 11:00. Burial will follow in Branford Center Cemetery. For directions and online memorial see www. wsclancy.com.
