Lorraine Pleu

August 26, 1921 - September 17, 2021

Lorraine W. Pleu, 100, of Wallingford, loving wife of the late Earl R. Pleu, passed away peacefully, September 17, 2021 at Regency House.

Lorraine was born in New Haven on August 26, 1921, daughter of the late Charles and Ida (Berube) Walters.

She worked as a quality inspector for Winchester Repeating Arms for over 30 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wallingford. She was a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox.

She is survived by her step daughter, Diana Post and her husband, Dirk, of Surrey, BC., along with step grandsons, Brian and Michael Post and three step great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and cherished friends, Jeanie Baker, Andrea Hartman along with their fur babies. She was predeceased by her sisters, Helena McKee and Shirley Walters and her brother Charles Walters.

The family would like to thank the staff at Regency House for her care, especially Marlana, who provided extra comfort.

Her family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., Wallingford on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 9 am until 10:30 am when her funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady of Fatima Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. Memorial donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital or charity of choice.
