2021 Green Building Awards to be held Oct. 7
DERBY — Sustainable building projects in Connecticut will be highlighted next month at the Connecticut Green Building Council’s 2021 Green Building Awards event, according to a release.
This year’s winners will be named at an awards ceremony Oct. 7 at The Hops Co., 77 Sodom Lane.
The keynote address will be given by Karraine Moody, chief executive officer of Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity, the release said, and the address, “Let’s Dream Green Together,” will touch on “the need for housing and sustainability to have an
equal priority both now and for future generations.”
Choosing this year’s winners were jurors Leonard Wyeth of Wyeth Architects LLC; Karla Butterfield of Steven Winters Associates;
Antonia Ciaverella of Tecton Architects; Steven Burke of Consigli Construction Co.; and Katherine Jacobs of the city of New Haven, the release said.
