Demetriades for council

-

My name is Kristen Basiaga and I’m a Cromwell resident, taxpayer and voter. This fall, I’m happy to support James Demetriades as he runs for his third term on the Cromwell Town Council. I’ve known James for the past few years through his involvement in community theater as well as through his work in the Cromwell community at large. In that time, he has been an intelligent, patient and passionate leader, who takes the time to listen to concerns and present reasonable solutions.

James Demetriades is a lawyer, current Town Council member and a lifelong Cromwell resident. In just his time on the Town Council, James has made visible impacts on our little community. If you’ve seen the murals on Main Street or the revitalized baseball dugouts, that was through James’s work as chairman of the Cromwell Creative District. The CCD’s events like the Coffeehouse and the Block Party not only support Cromwell’s small businesses but also bring our community together.

As a member of the Town Council, James offers a balanced perspective on the budget. He listens to residents. He hosts a podcast, Cromwell Listens, that celebrates our town as a beautiful place to live and raise a family. As a delegate to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee of the town, he knows that the success of our town is inexorably tied to the successes of all its residents.

So this fall, I encourage my friends and neighbors to vote for James Demetriades for Cromwell Town Council.
