Camille A. Colella 79, of North Haven, died peacefully at her home with her family by her side. For 56 years, she was the loving wife of her devoted husband Sebastian “Art” Colella. Camille was born in New Haven on March 2, 1942, to the late Philip and Loretta Matolla Vasso. Besides her husband, Camille is survived by son Paul Colella, daughter Dawn (Joseph) Caldarella, grandchild­ren Alyssa and Philip Caldarella, nephews John Jr. (Monique) Ortoleva, Joseph Ortoleva, and Christophe­r (Jacqueline) Ortoleva, brother John Vasso, cousins, and friends. She was predecease­d by brother Salvatore Vasso and sister-in-law Louise Ortoleva.

After graduating from Wilbur Cross High School in 1961, Camille was an administra­tive assistance to the director of the New Haven Senior Center for several years until leaving to have a family. While raising her children, she and her husband were the former owners of Art’s TV and Appliance for 41 years. During her leisure, Camille was a community volunteer who enjoyed leanding a helping hand that was motivated by her love of God, respect for all others and the love of life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 11:00 in Church of the Resurrecti­on, 115 Pond Hill Rd in Wallingfor­d. Visiting hours will be held at the Church from 9:30 AM until time of service. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
