Sebastian Mazzotta, 86, of Middletown, CT peacefully passed away on September 29th, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Sebastian was born on October 1, 1934, to Giuseppe and Giuseppina Mazzotta in Melilli, Sicily. After immigratin­g to the United States in 1955, Sebastian and his brother Salvatore went on to build a successful masonry company, employing

several immigrants from his native Sicily. In 1965, Sebastian wed the love of his life, Adalgisa Mazzotta, going on to have

two children, Nadia and Joseph. He was a loving, and supportive father, who’s hard work and guidance was the foundation of his family.

After retiring in 1990, Sebastian spent his time volunteeri­ng daily at his family’s constructi­on equipment rental business, accommodat­ing his wife and children, and with friends at the Italian Society in Middletown, CT. He is survived by his wife, Ada, his two children, Nadia Mitoraj, and Joseph Mazzotta, his sisters Vincenza Mazzotta and Zeferina Pugliares, and his brother Salvatore Mazzotta. At the family’s request, funeral services will be private. D’Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main St, Middletown, is in charge of arrangemen­ts.
