Lincoln Freeman, Avon:

The sophomore scored four goals (all in the second half) to help turn a 1-0 halftime deficit against South Windsor into a 4-1 victory.

Max Weiss, Weston:

Weiss scored one goal and assisted another in 2-0 win over Pomperaug.

Patrick Osiecki, Holy Cross: The senior had two goals against Immaculate as part of a 3-0 win.

Will Sawin, Stonington:

Sawin scored four goals and had four assists in two Stonington wins last week over Woodstock Academy ad NFA.

Lucas Almeida, Hall:

The junior striker scored four times has No. 2 Hall beat Conard 5-1.

Jaden Wywoda, Law:

The keeper helped Law move to 7-0 with a 1-0 win over Wilbur Cross. Wywoda and Law have posted four shutouts this season.

Lewis Mills defense: By earning a 0-0 tie, Lewis Mills became the first team to shut out Wethersfie­ld since Nov. 4, 2019. Lewis Mills, a CIAC Class M school, is now 4-1-2.

GAMES TO WATCH

No. 3 Hand at Guilford, Wednesday, 6 p.m.: The SCC has some great soccer matchups this season and this one is near the top. Guilford is the last team to beat Hand, topping them 1-0 on Nov. 6, 2019 in the SCC Championsh­ip game. Hand has not lost in the regular season in over two years.

Portland at No. 6 Suffield, Thursday, 4 p.m.:

Excellent crossover between two of the best from the Shoreline Conference and the NCCC. Portland is one of the best teams in Class S while Suffield is a perennial contender in Class M.

Warde at No. 4 Norwalk, Thursday, 6:30 p.m.:

Are these the two best teams in the FCIAC? Norwalk has out-scored its last four opponents 19-1 while the Mustangs have not given up a goal in four games.

Litchfield at Shepaug Valley, Friday, 3:45 p.m.:

As Nonnewaug pulls ahead in the standings, the fight for second place in the Berkshire League is heating up with these two leading the way.
