Seeking ZBA reelection
I am Mark Zampino, and I am running for reelection to the Cromwell Zoning Board of Appeals.
I have served faithfully in this position since January 2016, and it is my desire to continue serving the residents of our town. Accordingly, I am on the ballot for reelection as an incumbent this November.
I am the MBA recruiter for Southern Connecticut State University, and an honorary member of the Connecticut Society of CPAs, only the third in 113 years. I have also taught business and professional communication at the University of Hartford, my alma mater (summa cum laude) as an adjunct professor of communication for 20 years.
I have lived in Cromwell since 1987 with my wife of 38 years, Donna Zampino, and both of my sons, Geoffrey and Daniel, are my proud products of the Cromwell public school system.
It is my belief that as time advances, the ZBA must consider its charge not only as to the letter of the law, but as to the spirit of the law. We must maintain the integrity of the regulations that have been prescribed, but also use common sense where decisions must be made in “gray” territory. We must consider hardships, but at the same time project tomorrow’s implications of today’s decisions. I have expressed this belief to my fellow ZBA members, and they have acknowledged the importance of my belief.
I ask my fellow residents to please vote for me so that I can continue my service to the town of Cromwell, both today and tomorrow.
Mark Zampino
