Robert S. Archibald Sr.

Robert Samuel Archibald, Sr., 94, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 3, 2021. He was born on April 7, 1927 in New Haven, CT to the late William and Louise Walwyn Archibald. He was married to Ethel Mae (Cowan) Archibald for 55 years. Robert served honorably in the US Army. He retired from the US Postal Office after 35 years of service. He also owned and operated Archibald & Sons Fuel Company, a well-known oil business in the Greater New Haven area.

He leaves behind sons, Mitchell Archibald and Robert (LaTasha) Archibald, Jr.; daughter, Lucille (Randy, Sr.) Perry; 5 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; and 1 greatgrandson. He was loved by all and will surely be missed.

A celebration of his life will take place Friday, October 15, 2021 at 9:00 AM at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 111
