Outdoor meditation event planned for Sunday

Buttonwood Tree program to focus on world peace

MIDDLETOWN — The Buttonwood Tree, at 605 Main St., will present a community meditation for world peace Sunday at the South Green.

The event will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. at Union Park, at the corner of Main and Union streets. All are welcome to attend this free event.

It may possibly be livestream­ed on Facebook, according to a press release. If so, virtual participan­ts will have an opportunit­y to add their positive thoughts from anywhere they are.

This meditation will be led by Annaita Gandhy, a spiritual guide in Middletown. As teacher and healer, her offerings include meditation­s, workshops, energy healing, cosmic understand­ing and personal growth, the news release said. She has also been hosting workshops at the Buttonwood Tree since 2011.

Respectful social distancing is requested. This event is free, with a rain date of Oct. 24, and donations are welcome to support The Buttonwood Tree’s programmin­g.
