Outdoor meditation event planned for Sunday
Buttonwood Tree program to focus on world peace
MIDDLETOWN — The Buttonwood Tree, at 605 Main St., will present a community meditation for world peace Sunday at the South Green.
The event will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. at Union Park, at the corner of Main and Union streets. All are welcome to attend this free event.
It may possibly be livestreamed on Facebook, according to a press release. If so, virtual participants will have an opportunity to add their positive thoughts from anywhere they are.
This meditation will be led by Annaita Gandhy, a spiritual guide in Middletown. As teacher and healer, her offerings include meditations, workshops, energy healing, cosmic understanding and personal growth, the news release said. She has also been hosting workshops at the Buttonwood Tree since 2011.
Respectful social distancing is requested. This event is free, with a rain date of Oct. 24, and donations are welcome to support The Buttonwood Tree’s programming.
