STROLL TO FEATURE ‘SPIRITS OF LOCAL CHARACTERS’
CLINTON — The Adam Stanton House & General Store Museum and Kidz Konnection Shoreline Theater Academy will host a Halloween event, “Haunted Spirits of Clinton Stroll” on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 20 and 21.
The stroll, with tours at 6, 6:30 and 7 p.m. both nights, will visit the grounds of several historic properties as well as an 18th-century burial grounds, “where spirits of famous local characters will thrill you with stories of their past,” an announcement from the organizers said. Those on the tour will hear “true paranormal tales of historical events told by the spirits of the deceased ... some frightening, some emotional and some entertaining.”
The tour will start at the Stanton House at 63 East Main St. and proceed to the academy, then through the old burial grounds and end at the cemetery office for refreshments. Participants are advised to wear comfortable shoes and bring a flashlight.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. All proceeds will go toward the ongoing restoration of the Stanton House and the historic academy building, home to Kidz Konnection, the announcement said.
