Cohen plans town hall event

WEST HAVEN — Barry Lee Cohen, the Republican candidate for mayor, will hold a town hall meeting Oct. 20 at Savin Rock Community School at 7 p.m.

Cohen, a 10th District City Council member, is challenging Mayor Nancy Rossi for the office. Masks will be required to be worn indoors.

“Our town hall last month at West Haven High School allowed us to thoroughly address every question submitted by text, email, and audience members. With almost 100 attendees, we ran well over whereas we felt another town hall was essential,” Cohen said in a release.

Rossi, who ordinarily hosts monthly town halls in collaboration with the University of New Haven’s Mayoral Advisory Commission, said her next town hall is scheduled for Nov. 30, after the election.
