Rose J. Choser, age

81 of Preston, beloved wife of the William S. Choser, died Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Backus Hospital, Norwich. Born in Providence, RI on March 6, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Amelia Menna Briganti. Mrs. Choser was raised in Rhode Island and was an Ansonia resident for over 45 years, until moving to Preston four years ago. She worked as a sales associate in the Wesport location of Dress Barn and the Devon location of Fashion Bug, for many years until her retirement in 1990. Mrs. Choser is survived by her daughter, Wendy (Edward) Sargent of Preston; son, Wayne R. Choser of New London; stepdaughters, Lorraine (Paul) Nott of Dayville, Karen (Wayne) Bartolotta of Middletown and Linda Choser of Middletown; sisters, Teresa Gervais and Inez Paliotti, both of RI; 11 grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband of 36 years, she was predeceased by brothers, Joseph and Frank Briganti. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
