Francis R. “Mickey” Hunt, 92, beloved husband of the late Lorraine (Prigitano) Hunt and the late Elinor (Tullar) Hunt and the late Priscilla (Labbe) Hunt, died Monday, October 18, 2021 at the Hospital of Central Connecticu­t. Mickey was born in Middletown, son of the late Allen and Sophie (Czajka) Hunt. He was a graduate of Middletown High School class of 1946. Mickey was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Middletown Fire Department for 40 years, Douglas Hose Company (Life Member), Local 1073 IAFF Firefighte­rs Union (Retired), Saint John’s Lodge #2, Past Master, BPOE Lodge 771 (Elk of the Year 1995, Life Member, Past Trustee), and a DeMolay Internatio­nal (Dad Advisor). Prior to his retirement, Mickey was employed with Rogers Manufactur­ing in Rockfall. He also worked for many years at Pelton’s Drug Store. Mickey is survived by a son, Rodger Hunt and his wife Wendy of New Britain, daughter, Karen Green and her husband Michael of Tolland, brother, William Hunt and his wife Barbara of Middletown, sister, Barbara Uliano and her husband Francis of Middletown, four grandchild­ren, Mary Robbins and her husband Ryan of Colchester,

Heather Maldonado and her husband Manny of Torrington, Nicole and Michael Green both of Gainesvill­e, FL, four great-grandchild­ren, Landon Robbins, Laylah Robbins, Izabella Maldonado and Noah Maldonado. He was predecease­d by daughter, Kathleen Hunt, three brothers, George Hunt, Frederick Hunt and Charles Hunt and a sister, Agnes Johnson. Mickey’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Kathy Harris for always being there. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial with military honors will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery.
