Wilson, beloved husband of 50 years; she is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Scholfield and her husband, Edward, of Deep River, who were her caregivers in recent years; their children, Michael La Fleur, his wife Stephanie and their daughter Sally; Erin Johnson, her husband, Sean, and their children, Ayla and Clark; Benjamin Scholfield, his wife, Heather, and their children, Everett and Riley; and Jack Scholfield.

She is predeceased by her parents, Louis Faraci and his wife Ammelia Romano; brothers, Frank, Theodore, Joseph, Louis Jr., Sebastian, Armando, Salvatore, and Edward; and her sisters, Jennie, Carol, and Carmie. She leaves her surviving siblings, William Faraci and Evelyn Epright. Dolores loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her nieces, Doreen and Cindy, with whom she spent many hours following her passion - cooking. She was always up for making some homemade sauce and cutlets and never shied away from offering tips to her sous chefs to ensure the dish turned out just right. Dolores made sure all visitors left with a full belly and loved engaging in lively conversation and a game of cards. Dolores had a very special place in her heart for her niece, Brenda, who was like a daughter to her; as well as her nephews, Randy, Michael, Mark, and Matthew who were her “sons”. Throughout her life, she loved to travel with her husband Harold, family and friends, visiting all over Europe, US, and splitting her time between Old Lyme, CT and Naples, FL upon retirement. Summers were spent at Point O’Woods, enjoying the company of her grandchildren, friends and extended family, filling the cottage with lots of laughter, games of setback and the constant smell of fresh garlic bread. Throughout her life she worked alongside her husband, Harold, at the businesses they started together. One of the most successful is Maples Self Storit in Middletown, CT, which they started in 1984. Having the foresight to start a business in selfstorage, an industry not well-known at the time, where she helped run the day-to-day operations. Our family would like to thank the staff at Chestelm Health and Rehab in East Haddam, and her home care providers, Jorhdyn and Cookie, for their kindness, compassion, and care for Dolores. A funeral liturgy will be held on Wednesday, April 20th at 10:30 am at St. Sebastian’s Church, Middletown. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
