Officials believe missing Middletown mom, baby in Hartford area

MIDDLETOWN — A mother and her infant son who have been missing since Friday have not yet been located, though officials said they may have narrowed down the pair’s location.

Law enforcemen­t officials believe that 32-yearold Brigette Wood and her three-week-old son Zion Gonzalez are in the Hartford area, Middletown Police Chief Erik Costa said in a statement provided to Hearst Connecticu­t Media.

“We have an active Silver Alert and working with partnering agencies,” Costa said, adding that he “will be able to give more details Monday morning.”

Woods and her infant son were last seen in the area of Eastern Drive in Middletown around 3 p.m. on May 6.

According to details provided on the silver alert, Wood is 5-foot-2 and 140 pounds with sandy hair and brown eyes.

Zion is five pounds and a foot tall, according to the silver alert. He was born April 16.
