Kenneth Jay Broadus

Kenneth Jay Broadus, age of 75, of Chattanooga, TN and formerly of Moodus, CT, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 due to congestive heart failure. May he rest in peace. Kenny was born on December 20, 1946 in Boston, MA. He moved to Moodus in 1957 with his family and graduated from Nathan Hale-Ray High School in 1965. Kenny was highly intelligent. He was a star basketball player at 6'4” tall, loved games of all kinds and riding and fixing bicycles! He served in the Vietnam War and was wounded on more than one occasion. Like many veterans, he sadly suffered from PTSD. In 1979, he moved to the Chattanooga, TN area, where he made his home. He was predeceased by his parents, Biser Jay Broadus and Anna Cothran Broadus of Moodus; and his sister, Loretta Broadus Lemieux of East Hampton He is survived by his sister, Carole

Otto of Deep River; brother, Clay (Denise) Broadus of Chattanooga, TN; two daughters in Connecticut, and a large extended family mostly in the Mississippi, Georgia, and Tennessee areas.
