Reece Scott and Matt Gagliardi, Hand, C.J. Giuliano, Morgan: Scott and Gagliardi shot 36 and 37, respectively and Giuliano also posted a 37 at Clinton CC in Hand’s 159-168 victory.
A.J. DePaolo, Cheshire: Shot a 1-under-par 34 at Madison CC to help the Rams top Guilford 153-168.
Sydney Hidalgo, Cheshire: Posted a 39 at Southington CC in Cheshire’s 186-253 victory over Canton.
Luke Stennett, Portland: Shot a 1-under-par 34 at Madison CC to help Portland defeat host Hand 151-177. Stennett also shot 76 at Norwich GC to place second in the Wildcat Invitational.
Quinn Lapinski, Portland: Shot a 1-over 37 at Clinton CC to earn medalist laurels and help Portland beat Morgan 170-182.
North Chery and Ben James, Hamden Hall: Chery shot a 74 at Fishers Island (N.Y.) to win the Fishers Island
Invitational. Also, James shot 35 and Chery 36, respectively, at New Haven CC in the Hornets’ 198-203 win over St. Luke’s.
Matt Downes, St. Paul: Shot 37 at Torrington CC to help St. Paul defeat the host Red Raiders 170-230.
Luke Karpiej, Hale-Ray: Shot a 1over 37 at Black Birch GC in the Little Noises’ 180-199 win over Cromwell and a 1-over 36 at Black Hall in Hale-Ray’s 186-209 win over Valley Regional.
Annie DeSanto, Hall: Shot a 38 at Rockledge GC to help Hall top Cheshire 188-209.
Jack Wise, Cromwell: Shot an evenpar 35 at the Black Hall Club to help the Panthers defeat Valley Regional 175-199. His 1-over-37 at Black Birch GC helpe him share medalist laurels with Hale-Ray’s Luke Karpiej (see above).
Max Baldwin and A.J. Cady, Tolland: The sophomore duo both shot even-par 36 at Topstone GC in Tolland’s 154-180 win over South Windsor.
Nate McCormack, Fitch: Shot a 37 at Norwich GC in the Falcons’ loss to Norwich Free Academy.
Matt Schuman, Canton: Shot a 37 at Skungamug River GC to help Canton edge Coventry 173-175.
Dakota Cooper, North Branford: His 37 at Black Hall was the low round and helped the Thunderbirds defeat Old Lyme 171-187.
MATCHES TO WATCH
Amity vs. Cheshire girls at Southington CC, Tuesday, 3 p.m.: The two SCC rivals play twice in a fourday span, starting here at Southington CC. These two will likely battle it out for the SCC tournament title as well.
Fairfield Prep vs. Hand boys at Madison CC, Wednesday, 3 p.m.:
Prep won by 30 strokes a month ago at Country Club of Fairfield, but Hand has played better in recent weeks and would love to hand the Jesuits their first SCC defeat.
