‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ community trip to Israel

The Jewish Federation­s of Greater Hartford and Greater New Haven are offering a “Choose Your Own Adventure” community trip to Israel March 9-16, 2023, with five flexible tracks geared to different topics and levels of Israeli experience.

The tracks include an introducto­ry itinerary for first-time visitors to the Jewish homeland, plus special itinerarie­s focusing on geopolitic­s of the Middle East, arts and culture, food and wine, and technology and innovation. Travelers are free to switch tracks from one day to the next – and every itinerary provides an insider’s view of Israel with VIP access to sites and experts.

All participan­ts will enjoy kosher meals and deluxe accommodat­ions at some of Israel’s finest hotels.

Horizons Travelers headed to Lancaster

Horizons Travelers is offering a trip June 7-9 to Lancaster, Pa.

Head to Newport

The West Haven Senior Center will offer a bus trip Aug. 3 to the Newport Playhouse in Newport, R.I. The trip includes lunch and the suspensefu­l comedy “Murder at the Howard Johnson’s,” a love triangle set in a Howard Johnson’s motor lodge involving a woman, her lover and her husband.

Bus departs at 8:45 a.m. from the Savin Rock Conference Center parking lot, 6 Rock St., and leave at 5 p.m. from Newport.

Newport Playhouse’s COVID-19 policy requires patrons to show proof of full vaccinatio­n, which verifies they have received a second shot at least 14 days before the event. Proof of vaccinatio­n must show a name that matches the government­issued document for the person seeking entry.

Visit New York or New Hampshire

— 1000 Islands Bus Tour. A 3-day tour to the 1,000 Islands in New York state, May 31 to June 2.
