‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ community trip to Israel
The Jewish Federations of Greater Hartford and Greater New Haven are offering a “Choose Your Own Adventure” community trip to Israel March 9-16, 2023, with five flexible tracks geared to different topics and levels of Israeli experience.
The tracks include an introductory itinerary for first-time visitors to the Jewish homeland, plus special itineraries focusing on geopolitics of the Middle East, arts and culture, food and wine, and technology and innovation. Travelers are free to switch tracks from one day to the next – and every itinerary provides an insider’s view of Israel with VIP access to sites and experts.
All participants will enjoy kosher meals and deluxe accommodations at some of Israel’s finest hotels.

Head to Newport
The West Haven Senior Center will offer a bus trip Aug. 3 to the Newport Playhouse in Newport, R.I. The trip includes lunch and the suspenseful comedy “Murder at the Howard Johnson’s,” a love triangle set in a Howard Johnson’s motor lodge involving a woman, her lover and her husband.

Newport Playhouse’s COVID-19 policy requires patrons to show proof of full vaccination, which verifies they have received a second shot at least 14 days before the event. Proof of vaccination must show a name that matches the governmentissued document for the person seeking entry.
