Annmarie (Edwards) Rankins, 59, of Middletown, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at her home. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Ruthlyn (Francis) Edwards.

Annmarie was a faithful member of Shiloh Christian Church where she was lovingly known as the “Decorator.” She was also a member of the church hospitalit­y committee where she was always there to help.

Annmarie lived in Middletown from the age of 23 years old, moving here from Jamaica. She was employed at Cromwell Crest and at CVH for many years until she retired. She loved gardening, decorating and home design. Anything Annmarie put her mind to, she could envision and accomplish. Annmarie made sure everyone knew how much she adored and loved her daughter. She was loved by so many and will be remembered for the wonderful person she was.

Annmarie is survived by her daughter, Aneeka A. Angus of Middletown; three brothers, Leonard Knight, Marcus Edwards and Lloyd Edwards, all of Kingston, Jamaica; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 25th at 11:00 am at Shiloh Christian Church in Middletown, where masks are required. Burial following in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Annmarie’s memory may be made to Shiloh Christian Church, 693 Saybrook Road, Middletown, CT 06457.
