GAMES TO WATCH
SWC quarterfinals, Thursday at higher seeds:
The postseason in eight conferences begins in the SWC. Among the matchups: Pomperaug visits New Fairfield at 7 p.m.; the home team, four-time conference champs, prevailed in overtime in their regular-season meeting. There’s also Newtown at Barlow at 6 p.m.; the Nighthawks didn’t qualify for the state tournament, so this is their postseason.
Simsbury at Glastonbury, Friday, 6 p.m.: The winner gets the top spot in the CCC Central playoffs, to come early next week.
FCIAC quarterfinals, Saturday at higher seeds: Time still TBA at this writing on sixth-seeded New Canaan’s visit to Wilton, but that was a twogoal game a couple of weeks ago (and was the conference final three years ago).
ECC semifinals, Tuesday at Ledyard: East Lyme meets Stonington at 5 p.m., followed by Bacon AcademyWaterford.
The next couple of days will firm up matchups and times for the other conference tournaments. (Admins: send ’em along when you’ve got ’em.)
