Patricia (Patty) Esposito

Patricia (Patty) Esposito, age 70, beloved wife of almost 42 years to Patrick Esposito, Sr., passed away on August 31st. Patty was born in Middletown, CT, and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. She resided in Portland, CT with her husband, Pat and her dog, Chooch. Patty worked for 27 years for the State of CT. After retirement, she enjoyed yoga, reading, bike riding, camping and spending time with family and friends at her house on the lake in Portland, or her house on the ocean in Florida. Patty had a real zest for life. She will be remembered for her neverending smile, infectious laugh and the love she gave to everyone. Patty became friends with everyone she met and was always the life of the party. Patty leaves behind her husband, Pat; her three children, Micki Charton, Becki (Jeff) Graves, Patrick Jr. ( Jill) Esposito; and her grandchildren: Stephen (Regina) Charton, Brandon Charton, Kaitlyn Charton, Teddy Charton, Carter Graves, Carly Graves, and Haddam Esposito. She also leaves her brothers, Peter Baranowsky ( Jeanie) and Bob Baranowsky (Kathy); her sister, Lynne Pierce (Jeff); and nieces and nephews: Michaela, Michael, Andrea, Jeff and Todd. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Josephine Baranowsky; and her nephew, Justin.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 7th at 9 a.m. from the Portland Memorial Funeral Home, 231 Main St., Portland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Portland, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the family plot in St. Mary Cemetery, Portland. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 6th from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Portland Food Bank.
