MILESTONES

Allie Bietz, Branford: The senior reached 1,000 career assists during Branford’s 3-1 victory over North Branford on Oct.11. In 18 matches this season she has 469 assists, 61 aces and 105 digs.

Maggie Carley, Trumbull: The Eagles’ senior setter reached a career milestone when she picked up her 1,000th assist during a five-set win over New Canaan on Friday. Carley finished the game with an eye-popping 52 assists, while also adding eight kills, four blocks and three aces. She has 501 assists in 18 matches this season, and 107 assists and 20 kills in the last three matches.

TOP PERFORMERS

Emmy Asplund, Joel Barlow: The senior filled the stat sheet when she collected 24 assists, 10 digs, four kills, two blocks and two aces during a 3-0 shutout of Brookfield on Thursday.

Emily Aviles, Griswold: The senior libero collected 36 digs in consecutiv­e wins over Waterford and Old Lyme on Friday and Monday. She has hit double digits in 14 of 17 matches this season and had 20 or more five times.

Alyssa Dugas, Newington: Dugas amassed 46 assists, 15 digs and one ace to help the Nor’Easters edge Avon 3-2 last Friday.

Desire Freeman, Prince Tech: The junior had 31 kills, 21 aces and 21 digs in consecutiv­e shutouts of Windham Tech, Ellis Tech and Internatio­nal last week.

Ally Hadley, RHAM: Hadley collected 22 kills, 24 digs and two aces in the Raptors’ five-set victory over Glastonbur­y in a key CCC match last Wednesday.

Marianna Hernandez, Brien McMahon: The senior had 16 kills and 18 digs to help lead the Senators to a 3-0 shutout of Warde on Friday.

Maille Ianniruber­to,Woodland:

The middle hitter had 10 kills and seven blocks in Woodland’s five-set win over previously-unbeaten Seymour last Thursday. She added another 10 kills and blocks in a shutout of Oxford on Friday.

Rebecca Lavoie, Glastonbur­y: The junior amassed 26 digs in the Guardians’ 3-2 loss to RHAM last Wednesday.

She also had 18 digs in a four-set win over Coventry on Tuesday.

Kalle Legassey, Woodland: The senior outside hitter had 34 digs along with nine kills, three blocks and one ace to help Woodland defeat Seymour 3-2 on Thursday. She also had a combined 14 kills, three aces and 15 digs in wins over Oxford on Friday and Holy Cross on Tuesday.

Shaylah Lounsbury, Pomperaug: The senior setter collected 60 assists as the Panthers swept New Milford, Naugatuck and Stratford last week.

Aly Rappaport, Wilton: The senior setter dished out 43 assists, six digs, two aces, two kills and a block to help Wilton overcome Greenwich 3-2 on Monday. That followed a 26-assist, six-dig performanc­e in a 3-1 win over Ludlowe last Friday,

Maggie Saleeby, Greenwich: Saleeby led the Cardinals with 15 kills and 23 digs in a five-set loss to Wilton on Monday.

Kendall Scholz, Wilton: The senior racked up 25 kills, 17 digs, three aces and three blocks in the Warriors’ five-set victory over Greenwich on Monday. She also had 21 kills and seven digs on a 3-1 win over Ludlowe last Friday.

Haley Weiner, Southingto­n: The senior setter dished out 120 assists to help lead the Blue Knights to three victories last week. That included 47 against Bristol Central, and 40 against Bristol Eastern.

Cami Wessels, Southingto­n: Wessels led the Blue Knights with 19 kills while also adding two aces, one block and two digs in a 3-1 win over Bristol Central last Wednesday. She added 18 kills, three aces and six digs in a shutout of Bristol Eastern on Thursday.

Sarah West, RHAM: West, a senior, racked up 18 kills, 10 digs and four blocks in RHAM’s 3-2 win over Glastonbur­y last Wednesday.

GAMES TO WATCH

Bristol Central at Conard, Thursday, 5: Conard has been tearing up the CCC of late, winning six straight matches during a stretch which includes a few top contenders. Bristol Central, meanwhile, had won five of six including a shutout of rival Bristol Eastern on Monday.

Fitch at Griswold, Thursday, 6:30: Griswold is closing in on an unbeaten regular season, but will face a challenge from Fitch, a perennial ECC contender.

Hale Ray at Guilford, Friday, 5:15: Hale Ray leads the Shoreline conference and is second in the Class S standings, while Guilford is fifth in Class L. This will be a nice postseason launching pad for both teams.
