Robert G. Erickson, 70, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2022 at Branford Hills Healthcare Center. Robert was born on September 27, 1952, son of Carollee Erickson of West Haven and the late Carl E. Erickson. He was a proud 1972 graduate of West Haven High School and volunteere­d as an assistant to the WHHS Boys Basketball team. During his younger years, Robert worked at SNET and Star Drug. In his spare time, he also volunteere­d for his nephew’s, Bryan, Little League team and participat­ed in the Special Olympics. He was a member of the TEAM program at the West Haven Community House, where he spent many years making friends. He was also involved in the Young Marines. Bob was a huge NY Yankees fan and attended many games with his dad.

He is survived by his sister, Donna-Lee O’Keefe of Guilford, and brothers, Randy Erickson (Laurie) of West Haven and Roger Erickson (Karen) of Branford. Besides his siblings, he is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Bryan O’Keefe ( Jackie) of Salem, MA, Marc O’Keefe of Miami, FL, Jessica D’Amato (Matt) and Liana Pyrdol (Richard) of West Haven, Kara Erickson of New Haven, and Camellia Acunzo (Alex) and Dalton Erickson of Branford; and his great-niece and nephew, Avery and Lucas D’Amato of West Haven.

Robert had resided at Branford Hills since 2010 and made friends with the other residents, as well as the staff, who took good care of him as his health declined. They truly are an amazing group of individual­s who enjoyed caring for him and making his life as comfortabl­e as possible. His family would like to thank them all for their constant love and attention to him.
