-

Louise was born in Santa Maria di Castellabate, Italy to Maria and Frank “Finau” Montone on September 29, 1945. As a child she immigrated to New Haven, Connecticut. She later graduated from Wilber Cross Highschool in 1963 and became a hairdresser by trade. Louise opened two salons, “First Impressions” and “His and Hers” both located in New Haven. In addition to being a hairdresser, Louise worked several years at US Surgical before relocating to Florida with her husband, Dominic Palmieri.

Louise enjoyed the simple things in life including good company, conversation, food, and entertainment. She was known to spark a conversation with anyone she encountered, as within minutes of meeting she would be sharing her life story. Her laugh was infectious and her personality was beyond welcoming, which resulted in her gaining new friends throughout all stages of her life. However, nothing was more important to her than her family. Even though miles separated her from her children, grandchildren, and siblings, she made a point to speak with each of them daily.

Louise is survived by her beloved husband Dominic Palmieri of over forty years.

Besides her husband, she leaves behind her two children, Angela Picone (Peter) of North Branford and Robert Ferrigno (Nicole) of New Haven; her three grandchildren Michael and Robert Picone, Santino Ferrigno; several brothers including Costible (Evelyn) Montone, Dominick Montone, Angelo (Linda) Montone, Andy (Maria) Montone, Frankie (Elvira) Montone ; one loving sister Carmela Delvecchio; several nieces, nephews and friends whom she adored and enjoyed following on social media; and one little fur baby, King who was the current light of her life.

She is predeceased by brother-in-law Pat Delvecchio; sister-in-law Jill Montone and countless dogs she cared for over the years.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial Service celebrating Louise’s life at The First Congregational Church of East Haven located at 251 Main Street on Sunday, March 5th at 1:00 PM.
