Walter E. Perry, Jr.

Walter E. Perry, Jr., 75, of Milford, Connecticut, beloved husband of Lynn (Buckley) Perry, passed away on February 18, 2023. Born on March 31, 1947 in Springfield, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Walter E. Perry, Sr. and Irene (Klimik) Perry.

Walter proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends around the kitchen table or outside on the back deck. Throughout his life he had various hobbies and interests, including sailing, woodworking and calligraphy. He had great artistic abilities. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races in his man cave. He was always there to lend a hand to family, friends and neighbors. Walter worked in telecommunications for many years before eventually retiring from Yale University, after over 20 years of service there. His wit and humor will be missed by all who knew him.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children: Brendan (Erin Johnson) of Saranac, NY, Caitlin ( Jay Burns) of Oxford, CT, Erin Perry of Milford, CT; and his granddaughter Audrey

Burns. Also his brothers Paul (Arabella) Perry of Woodbridge, CT, John Perry of Woodbridge, CT; and his sister Carol Macholl of West Haven CT as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his mother and father-inlaw; and his sister Christine and brother-in-law Greg.

Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Saint Gabriel’s Church, 26 Broadway, Milford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Gabriel’s Church. Interment will be private.
