Norma Jean, 60 of Kissimmee, Florida and formerly of Killingwor­th, Connecticu­t passed away peacefully with her mother by her side, on January 17, 2023 in Orlando, Florida. She was born on November 2,1962, in New Haven, Connecticu­t. Norma was the daughter of Carolyn E. (Parent) Picard and the late Norman G. Picard. She graduated from HaddamKill­ingworth High School in 1980. Norma continued her education and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Connecticu­t University in 1985. She was employed by the Connecticu­t River Valley Service Unit as a Managed Care Liaison and was very dedicated to helping people get the help they need. Norma was a kind, caring, loving daughter, sister and aunt. She was an avid reader and enjoyed meandering along the ocean shore, walking, whether through her neighborho­od or on a trail. She loved all animals, especially her cats. Norma loved family gatherings and enjoyed seeing everyone come together for an afternoon of fun. Norma will be greatly missed and will be forever in our hearts. Norma is survived by her mother, brothers and sister: Douglas Picard of Santa Cruz, California, Martha LeBlanc (Robert) of Kissimmee, Florida, Paul Picard (Christine) of New Bern, North Carolina and John Picard, Branford Connecticu­t. Norma leaves behind her beautiful nieces and nephews whom she loved so dearly: Alyson LeBlanc, Jason Picard, Elizabeth Trisotto, Robert C. LeBlanc, Phillip Picard, Michele Picard and Marc Picard. Her great-nieces and nephews, Julian Trisotto, Angelina Trisotto, Charlotte LeBlanc, and Oliver LeBlanc. She leaves behind her aunts, uncle, and cousins. A private funeral service will be held by the family in Florida. A Celebratio­n of Life took place on March 25, 2023, at St. Lawrence Church, Killingwor­th, Connecticu­t. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n or the ASPCA in her name.
