On Thursday, March 16, 2023, the world lost an angel, who went to her reward with joy. Antointette Latella, age 99, of Orange, passed away quietly after a brief illness, in Yale New Haven Hospital, among loved ones. Antoinette was born on November 27, 1923 in New Haven CT, daughter of the late Frances and Philip Fiorentino. She was predeceased by her beloved and devoted husband of many years, Joseph F Latella Sr. Antoinette had many sisters and brothers whom she dearly loved. Her brothers were, Domenic (Edith), Salvatore, George (Ruth), Peter (Rose), Nicholas, Philip (Betty) and Paul (Agnes). Her loving sisters were Anna (Lawrence), Frances (Peter), Mary (Peter), and Elizabeth Fiorentino. She also had a large extended family consisting of many dearly devoted nieces, nephews and their children.

Antoinette grew up in New Haven and as a child would be accompanied by her mother to a small café where she would sing and dance the popular songs of her day, which gave her much pleasure. She attended Commercial High School where she graduated with honors. She worked in various jobs until she met her husband, who had a thriving business that she assisted him in running for several years. Antoinette started her day with the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist, which was broadcasted by the Office of Radio and Television and directed by Father John Gatzak, whom she loved listening to fondly. She took pleasure in several hobbies, including painting with a masterful eye. Her home displayed all her wonderful artwork, that people would enjoy viewing when they visited her, impressed by her attention to detail and amazing talent. She also liked to exercise and cook, often hosting her family for dinners. But her greatest joy was in caring for her husband, brothers and sisters, and extended family.

She lived a long and fruitful life, as a sweet, loving and gentle woman who will be sorely missed by her family and many friends.
