Michael J. Lombardo (Mike), beloved husband of Anne (Donahue) Lombardo, passed away peacefully on May 17th, 2023, with his family, who was always by his side during illnesses over the last year. He was born July 22nd, 1942 in Middletown, CT where he lived his entire life. He was the son of Carl and Jessie (Krawczynsk­i) Lombardo. He attended St. Mary’s School in Middletown and graduated from Vinal Technical High School in 1960. Mike was a highly skilled toolmaker having worked at Pratt & Whitney, Chandler Evans, Teleco Oilfield Services and Cidra Corporatio­n before retiring in 2016. Mike married the love of his life, Anne, on May 30th, 1964 and made their home in Middletown for the 59 years they were together before his passing. In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by their four sons: Michael ( Jennifer) of Fredericks­burg, VA; Timothy (Carmen) of Middletown, CT; Jeffrey (Paulette) of Newington, CT; and Jeremy (Amy) of Cape Elizabeth, ME. He also had great pride in his 11 grandchild­ren: William and Daniel; Andrew, Stephen and Matthew; Cassandra, Callan and Cole; and Jacqueline, Samuel and Luke. He is also survived by his sister Carol and brotherin-law Coe Hawkins as well as brother-in-law Daniel Donahue and sisters-in-law

Catherine Daley and Dorothy Donohue. Mike loved woodworkin­g, classic cars, and the New York Yankees. He enjoyed coaching his boys in Little League and was a constant presence at his grandchild­ren’s various events. Above all else, Mike loved his family; Anne, his boys, his dogs, and his beloved grandchild­ren. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 26th at St. Pius X Church in Middletown, CT. Mike’s burial will immediatel­y follow the liturgy at Calvary Cemetery on Bow Ln. in Middletown. Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 25th at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown.
