Francis Paul Marino Jr, 73 of East Hampstead, NH, died peacefully Thursday at the High Pointe Hospice House, Haverhill, MA.

Frank was born in Middletown, CT to the late Francis and Mary (Vernali) Marino. He graduated from Middletown, CT High School in 1967. The following year he attended a postgradua­te year at Chesire Academy. He later attended college at the University of Connecticu­t. Frank later earned his MBA. Throughout his life he was a passionate athlete playing multiple sports. Baseball was always his favorite sport which he played growing up and continued while at UConn. He also played for the American Legion, Hartford Twilight League and Yarmouth Red Sox of the Cape Cod Summer baseball league. Frank went on to have a successful career for General Electric aircraft engines for 35 years. Frank also taught undergradu­ate business courses at Southern NH University for 25 years.

Frank was a passionate golfer that ran many charity tournament­s for the Jimmy Fund for cancer research. He was a resident of East Hampstead for the past several years. He is survived by his beloved wife Yvonne (Mirault) Marino of East Hampstead, NH; his son Sean Marino of Londonderr­y, NH; his grandchild­ren Jason and Adam Marino; and his sister Maureen Marino of North Carolina. Frank is also survived by many sister- and brother in-laws as well as nieces and nephews in Mystic, CT.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on August 4th at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Church in Middletown, CT. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Massachuse­tts General Hospital Cancer Center.
