Alphonse F. Spadaro Jr., 82, of Woodbridge, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Yale New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Joan Landino Spadaro. Al was born in New Haven on September 5, 1941, and was the son of the late Alphonse F. Spadaro Sr. and Sylvia Maresca Spadaro. He was an accountant for many years and was the owner of Levitsky & Berney in Woodbridge. Al was a member of Scungilli Internatio­nal, was a Republican Town Chairman, former President of Race Brook Country Club, and board member of the former Bank of Southern Connecticu­t. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants and Yankees. Al enjoyed hunting and playing golf. His greatest joys were spending time with his family and most of all attending all his grandchild­ren’s sporting events, he truly loved them all unconditio­nally. Father of Teresa Spadaro Gambardell­a, Michael Spadaro, and his wife Jenny. Grandfathe­r of eldest grandchild Michael. Beloved grandfathe­r to Emma Gambardell­a, Chase, and Charli Spadaro. Brother of Francine Bradley and her husband Burt.

Family and friends are invited to go directly to Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 81 Center Road, Woodbridge on Wednesday morning, December 20th at 11:00 a.m. to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediatel­y following in All Saints Cemetery. The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue have been entrusted with the arrangemen­ts.
