Michael Belcher, Woodland: Had 10 strikeouts in four innings of work, picking up the 3-1 win over Holy Cross. In a win over Masuk, Belcher struck out 10 and gave up two hits over five innings. Quintin Bell, Foran: Went 3-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs during a 7-2 win over Stratford. Dylan Chamberlan­d, Newington: Hit two home runs, including a grand slam, to go 3-for-4 with eight RBIs in a win against University/Classical.

Cal Chance, St. Paul:

Went 2-for-3 with a grand slam, five RBIs and two runs scored in a win over Kennedy.

Ben Crawford, Ludlowe:

Went 3-for-6 in two games over the weekend in wins against Newtown and Masuk with two doubles, a triple and three RBIs. Jason Diaz, Wilbur Cross:

In a 6-4 win over Bridgeport Central, struck out eight while allowing just two runs on four hits over 6.1 innings to pick up the victory.

Alex Heidel, New Britain:

Pitched a no-hitter, striking out six and just walking one in a 3-0 win against Bristol Eastern. Max Jarvie, Wilton:

Struck out 11 and allowed two hits in a completega­me, 3-1, win over Branford.

Jack Jensen, New Canaan: Pitched five scoreless innings, striking out 10 in a 10-0 win over Law.

Blake Kamoen, Haddam-Killingwor­th:

Pitched a complete game,

striking out 11 in a 3-2 win over Cromwell.

Grady Lacourcier­e, Old Lyme: In a 9-3 win over Coginchaug, had a home run and three RBIs

Jake Lubanski, Enfield:

Struck out three and picked up the win on the mound while also driving in five runs in an 11-1 win against Windsor Locks.

Chris Lusginan, Bacon Academy: Got the win on the mound with six strike outs over three innings, allowing one hit. At the plate, drove in two runs and scored three times in a 18-4 win over Windham.

Landon Manzi, Killingly:

Picked up a win with eight strikeouts over four innings, allowing just two hits in an 11-1 win over Putnam.

Matt McDowell, Brookfield: Pitched 4.2 innings with 12 strikeouts as defending Class L champion Brookfield beat defending Class M champion Nonnewaug 15-0.

Nick Romano, North Haven: Went 5-for-13 in the first week with three doubles and six runs driven in during four games for the Nighthawks.

Devin Schmitt, Bullard Havens: Allowed just one hit, no earned runs and struck out 11 in five innings pitched as part of a 7-1 victory over Wolcott Tech.

Matt Shea, Haddam-Killingwor­th: Had two doubles, a single and three RBIs in an 11-1 win over OId Saybrook.

Charlie Solimine, Danbury: Struck out 12 over five innings pitched as Danbury defeated Manchester 5-4.

Jamuel Vilalongo, Hillhouse/Career: Had a walk-off hit in the bottom of the seventh, lifting Academics to a 6-5 win over rival Wilbur Cross.

Patrick Weaving, Wamogo: Threw a no-hitter and struck out 19 batters in a 6-0 win over Housatonic Regional.

GAMES TO WATCH

No. 9 Killingly at East Lyme, Wednesday, 4 p.m.: The two preseason favorites in the ECC, though NFA already beat Killingly and East Lyme lost to Stonington. Despite those losses, this remains a marquee matchup out east.

Xavier at No. 4 Guilford, Wednesday, 4 p.m.: Two of the SCC’s best teams and some of the league’s top players in Bryce Meder and Luke Deshefyof Guilford and Nick Fox of Xavier. Xavier allowed 16 runs in its two losses.

Brookfield at Holy Cross, Thursday, 6 p.m: The defending Class L champion Bobcats have dropped two out-of-conference games to Hamden and Danbury. This is the Crusaders first non-league game and only one of two they play all season outside the NVL.

Norwalk at Darien, Friday, 4 p.m.: Both teams are off to 3-1 starts as they enter the FCIAC opener for both schools. Norwalk has 26 runs in four games and Darien has put up 30 in their four contests.

New Milford at No. 8 Barlow, Friday, 4:15 p.m.:

Both teams have started the season unbeaten through the first week. Barlow’s starting pitching staff of Ian Nilsen, Christian Nilsen and Lachlan Ellis gave up three hits combined in 16 innings pitched in the first three games.

No. 3 Southingto­n at Masuk, Saturday, 2 p.m.:

Southingto­n ventures out of the SWC for the first time this season. Southingto­n’s Colin Crowley and Frank Boutot have been hitting at an all-state level right from the start.
