Wil­liam “Bill” Crismon, Jr., 69, of Modesto, CA., passed away peace­fully at home on De­cem­ber 1, 2018. He was born in Modesto, CA., on July 19, 1949. Bill grad­u­ated from Modesto High School and re­ceived an As­so­ciate of Arts de­gree from Modesto Ju­nior Col­lege. On Oc­to­ber 25, 1968, he mar­ried his high school sweet­heart, Linda Ver­meulen. To­gether they later moved to the Coul­ter­ville/Lake Don Pe­dro area where they started a fam­ily and resided for many years. Bill worked as a Sr. park ranger for the Merced Ir­ri­gation Dis­trict for 26 years, and as a re­serve deputy for Mari­posa County Sher­iff’s Of­fice. He also served as a vol­un­teer for the Mari­posa County Search and Res­cue team and was an EMT. Bill had a huge pas­sion for the out­doors. He was an avid hunter and fish­er­man, but mostly en­joyed just spend­ing time to­gether as a fam­ily. Bill was sur­vived by his three daugh­ters Kim­berly Martin, Shel­lie Crismon and Kari Crismon. His six grand­chil­dren Kayla Crismon-Gilgo, Dy­lan Briggs, Haylie Martin, Ash­lynn Crismon, Tyler Martin, Jae­lynn Al­can­tara, and his two great grand­chil­dren Cris­tian and Zacarias Men­dez. He was pre­ceded in death by his wife, Linda Crismon, his par­ents Wil­liam and Dorothy Crismon, brother Clif­ford Crismon and daugh­ter Karla Crismon. Fu­neral Ser­vices will be held at 11:00 on De­cem­ber 10, 2018, at Lake­wood Memo­rial Park, Hughson, CA. Vis­i­ta­tion will be from 4-8 PM on De­cem­ber 9, 2018. In honor of Bill’s fa­vorite sports teams the fam­ily is re­quest you wear some­thing red, gold, or­ange or black, or any­thing cam­ou­flage.
