We’ve gotten too soft on criminals
I am writing to bring attention to SB 1391. This law puts our citizens in danger from violent teenagers. Say a known gang member killed a young man in cold blood while trying to steal a car when he was 14, and was tried as an adult and sentenced to 50 years. Since passage of SB1391, he can appeal his sentence and go back to court and asked to be tried as a teenager to substantially reduce his sentence or even be set free. We have gotten way too soft on crime. We are at risk.
