Richard A. Bowman

Richard A. Bowman, 76, of Pen Argyl, PA passed away tragically in a vehicular accident on Rt. 248 in Walnutport, PA on the morning of November 2, 2018. He was the husband of Susan A. (Jarrett) Bowman, with whom he celebrated 46 years of marriage in July 2018. Dick was born in Sandusky, OH, a son to the late Arlington and Patricia (O'Reilly) Bowman. He was a 1960 graduate of Parkland High School, and later earned a BA from East Stroudsburg State College. Dick was a beloved mathematics teacher and a football and baseball coach, briefly working at Northwestern High School, and later working in the same capacity at Pen Argyl High School, until his retirement in 2002. He was one of the incorporators of Forgotten Felines and Fidos, Inc., originally of Allentown, currently of Germansville, PA. In addition to his wife, survivors include his brother, John (Linda) Bowman of Tarpon Springs, FL; two nephews and two nieces. He was predeceased by his brother Thomas Bowman. Dick's memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 1:30 PM in the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway New Tripoli, PA 18066, with a calling hour to begin at 12PM.
