Lafayette dorm closer to being built

Lafayette College cleared a hurdle Wednesday when the Easton Planning Commission approved it preliminary plans for a four-story dormitory on McCartney Street in College Hill, a project that nearby residents oppose because if its size and its effect on the historic character of the neighborhood.

What’s next? The college will submit a final proposal to the Planning Commission
