The Allentown Symphony Orchestra presents “Veterans Tribute: 100th Anniversar­y of Armistice Day” at 3 p.m. today at Miller Symphony Hall, 23 N. Sixth St., Allentown. The program celebrates American freedom through a commission­ed work inspired by the experience­s of soldiers in world wars. Actor Daniel Roebuck narrates Copland's “Lincoln Portrait” with excerpts from “The Gettysburg Address.” Daniel Rodriguez, the Singing Policeman, performs “America the Beautiful” and “God Bless America.”

The Slatington Veterans Memorial committee will hold a service and commemorat­ion 11 a.m. today at Slatington Memorial Park, Second and Main streets. Bad weather location is St. John's, 15 Second St. Light refreshmen­ts to follow in the church.

Fountain Hill American Legion Post 406 will honor all veterans with the unveiling of a new permanent monument at the Stanley Avenue Memorial Plot at 1 p.m. today. The guest speaker for the event will be Dr. Karen Dacey, a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom. 610-6573114.

In Remembranc­e: A Concert for the 100th Anniversar­y of the Armistice, by Muhlenberg College music faculty, who will perform works by fallen composers, composers who served and works about the experience of war, 3 p.m. today, Muhlenberg College, Recital Hall, Baker Center for the Arts, 2400 W. DeSales University, 2755 Station Ave., Upper Saucon Township, will hold a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. Monday at the Veterans Memorial Plaza. Participat­ing in the ceremony are the DeSales University Chorale, Southern Lehigh High School Band, and American Legion Post 397 Hellertown. Morgan Hill, will offer opening and closing prayers.

SteelStack­s, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem, will honor local women veterans at 6:30 p.m. today. “Women Veterans: Reflection­s of Their Time in the Armed Forces,” features first-hand accounts of veterans' experience­s while protecting and serving our nation, as well as a screening of the feature film “Blood Stripe.” This year's guests are Jenny Pacanowski of Bethlehem, U.S. Army, who served in Iraq; Cheryl G. Ites of Easton, U.S. Marine Corps, who served in Iraq; and Corinna Louise Brown of Topton, U.S. Army.

Fullerton American Legion Post 367, 609 Fullerton Ave., Whitehall, will hold services at 10 a.m. Monday.

The Color Guard from the Northampto­n County Detachment 298 Marine Corps League along with Brown & Lynch Post 9 Color/Honor guard will render military honors at 1 p.m. Monday on Washington Boulevard at the five war memorials between South 17th and South 21st streets, Wilson Borough. The Wilson Area High School Drum and Bugle Corps will participat­e. Students from St. Jane's Elementary and Wilson Elementary will be lining the boulevard to recognize and honor veterans. Following this event, participan­ts and the public will assemble in the Wilson Elementary School for a Veterans Day Tribute.
