LCCC Tamaqua offers health care job training

Lehigh Carbon Community College is now registering students for a noncredit program in the health care field at the college's Morgan Center, 234 High St., Tamaqua. A limited number of scholarships is available to Schuylkill County residents.

The Home Health Aide Training program teaches safe work practices and protocols to individuals who assist people who are sick, injured, disabled or elderly with daily activities. Students must be at least 18 years of age, and are required to have a Pennsylvania background check, health physical and a two-step tuberculosis check.

Class will be held 5:30-9:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, Nov. 19 through Dec. 17. For information, contact Maureen Donovan at mdonovan@lccc.edu or 570-668-6880.
