Voting makes America stronger
Republicans like to accuse Democrats of being unable to get over losing the 2016 election. Granted, we grieved and went through shock, then denial to reach a place of acceptance.
On Nov. 6, we exercised our constitutional right to take back our government from a tyrant despite stories of polling places across the country trying to hinder voters.
Already Republicans are claiming there has been hacking, implying an unfair win by Democrats. Now that Democrats have the House majority and can move forward with investigations, President Trump says Republicans in the Senate will come after Democrats. Really? Each one personally?
And, as others have said, if he is innocent, what does he have to worry about? Recall in 1998-99 it was acceptable to put President Bill Clinton on trial in the Senate, so why is it unthinkable to subject Trump to the same?
Clinton’s impeachment and trial kept him tied up for two months. Are Trump supporters worried the trial could remove him permanently? Maybe they should be.
Whether you are Republican or Democrat, please continue to vote in future elections. It makes our country stronger.
