Hip hop star ar­rested on mar­i­juana charges

The co-founder of the hip hop col­lec­tive A$AP Mob and fash­ion de­signer of the Vlone cloth­ing com­pany has been charged with mar­i­juana pos­ses­sion in Palmer Town­ship.

Jabari Shel­ton, 26, of New York, who goes by the name A$AP Bari, was one of three men in a Mercedes that was pulled over at 12:20 a.m. Thurs­day in the town­ship. Po­lice say the ve­hi­cle was seen driving south in the north­bound lanes of Nazareth Road.

Po­lice say of­fi­cers de­tected a strong smell of mar­i­juana in the ve­hi­cle dur­ing the stop and a search turned up the drug. Po­lice would not say how much mar­i­juana al­legedly was found.

Shel­ton was charged with pos­ses­sion of mar­i­juana, pos­ses­sion with the in­tent to de­liver mar­i­juana, and pos­ses­sion of drug para­pher­na­lia. Records show he’s free af­ter post­ing $25,000 bail. TMZ first re­ported the story. The other two men in the ve­hi­cle were also charged.

Isiah McLau­rin, of Yonkers, N.Y., was charged with con­spir­acy, in­ten­tion to pos­sess mar­i­juana, pos­ses­sion of drug para­pher­na­lia, iden­tity theft and driving with a sus­pended li­cense. Ryan Mulry, of Pomp­ton Lakes, N.J., was charged with con­spir­acy, in­tent to pos­sess mar­i­juana and pos­ses­sion of drug para­pher­na­lia.
