Cadets lose program to budget cuts

After a sex abuse scandal led to a $600,000 budget deficit, Youth Education in the Arts, which is the parent organization of the Allentown Cadets drum and bugle corps, announced Wednesday it is laying off six people and eliminating the 125member Cadets2 corps that won the 2016 world championship.

What’s next? The organization will address financial issues by streamlining processes and selling some assets.
