Anita M. Verholy 86, of Allentown peacefully passed away on Thursday November 29, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Verholy Sr. to whom she was happily married for 50years. Born in Allentown, Anita was the daughter of the late Peter and Josephine (Schimeneck) Schmidt.

She was devout member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Allentown. Needie worked for over 40 years as a machine operator for numerous garment factories throughout the Lehigh Valley. Needie was a fun-loving and feisty woman who loved spending time with her family and friends more than anything. Surviving are her children: Thomas J. Jr. and his wife Karen of Alburtis and Diane J. Hulock of Aurora, IL. Brother: Michael Garger. Sisters: Hilda Maron and Helen Lasinsky. Brother-in-Laws: John and James Verholy and his wife Gladys. Grandchild­ren: Megan, Erik and Morgan. Anita was predecease­d by Brothers: Edwin Schmidt, Frank, John, Louis, Stephen and Edward all Garger. Sisters: Lillian Schaffer, Erna Bartholome­w, Stella Luisser, Anna Ifkovits, Rose Wolfel, Pauline Jandrisovi­ts, Elsie Weaver, Margaret Scarcia. Sister-In-Law: Eleanor Verholy. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday December 7, 2018 at 10:30AM in her Church. Calling will be 8:30-10:15AM at the O'Donnell Funeral Home 908 Hanover Ave. Allentown, PA 18109.
