91 years 2 months 26 days Formerly of Mechanicsv­ille Road in Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Thursday November 29, 2018 in his residence at Whitehall Manor. Born in Whitehall on September 3, 1927, he was the son of the late Walter and Edna (Guth) Schneck. He was married for 64 years to Helen T. Schneck who passed away in 2016.

Ken is survived by son Keith Schneck (and fiance' Linda Chisholm) of Ambler and daughter Carol Seagreaves of Northampto­n, grandchild­ren Stephanie Schneck Speece (and husband Kyle Speece), Brian Schneck and Christophe­r Schneck and three great grandchild­ren Connor, Logan and Blake Speece. Ken also has two living brothers Roger Schneck of Schnecksvi­lle and Robert Schneck of Kansas City Mo. Ken was a 1945 graduate of Whitehall High School, served in the US Army Band in 1945 and 1946 and worked for Verizon, formerly Bell Telephone Co of PA, for over 30 years. He was a member of St. John's UCC Fullerton. Ken's life was full of activity and he loved music and was an accomplish­ed saxophone and clarinet player in various local bands for many years. He loved to travel, garden & build or repair most anything. A closed casket visitation with his family will begin at 9:30 am followed by his funeral service at 10:00 am on December 3, 2018 in the Gilbert Funeral Home, 444 Pershing Blvd, Whitehall, PA 18052 with Rev. Dr. Becky J. Beckwith officiatin­g. Interment will follow in St. John's Union Cemetery at Mickleys, Whitehall, PA 18052.
