Marvin E. “Barney” Hun­singer, 87, of Al­len­town, died Nov. 30, 2018 in St. Luke's Hospice House. He was the hus­band of An­ge­line A. (For­nato) Hun­singer. Born in Ha­zle­ton, he was the son of the late El­ton M. and Arlene M. (Deis) Hun­singer. He honor­ably served his coun­try in the Air Force for 7 years dur­ing the Korean Con­flict, earn­ing the Army Oc­cu­pa­tion – Ber­lin Air­lift De­vice Ser­vice Medal, Medal of Hu­mane Ac­tion, Korean Ser­vice Medal, Na­tional De­fense Ser­vice Medal, and the United Na­tions Ser­vice Medal. He worked at Mack Trucks for 34 years, re­tir­ing in 1987. He was a mem­ber of Green­leaf Lodge #561 F&AM. Marvin is sur­vived by his wife of 62 years, An­ge­line; Son, Phillip M. Hun­singer of Al­len­town; Daugh­ter, De­bra A. Moyer of Barto; Broth­ers, Don­ald Hun­singer of Ha­zle­ton and Thomas Hun­singer of Drums; Grand­chil­dren, Nicole Moyer, Eric Moyer, and Sha­nia Hun­singer. He was pre­de­ceased by Sis­ters, Dolores Flexer and Dorothy Hun­singer. Fu­neral Ser­vices will be held on Thurs., Dec. 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Fu­neral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Em­maus. View­ing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the fu­neral home. In­ter­ment will fol­low in Cedar Hill Me­mo­rial Park. In lieu of flow­ers, con­tri­bu­tions may be made to Sec­ond Har­vest Food Bank, 6969 Sil­ver Crest Rd, Nazareth, PA 18064.
