Richard (Dick) B. Cochran Jr., age 76, of Bel Air, MD passed away on November 18, 2018 at home. Born in Chicago, IL, he was the son of Richard Bruce Sr. and Margaret Ann (Fairman) Cochran. Dick grew up in Hinsdale, IL. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1964. Dick started his 39 year sales career with Bethlehem Steel Corporatio­n which took him from New York to Bethlehem, Pa to Sparrows Point, MD. After retiring from Bethlehem Steel as the Manager of Plate Products, he became the Executive Director of the Maglev Corporatio­n and completed his career as a consultant for Baltimore Steel Products.

Dick's favorite place was Plum Lake in Wisconsin. He spent many summers with family and friends. Dick was a kidney transplant recipient from his close friend Jeff Springer, which extended his life for over 8 years.

Dick is survived by his wife Betsy of 50 years; son, Tommy (Courtney) Cochran of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter Christy (Dan) Sheehan of North Palm Beach, FL; four grandchild­ren, Olivia Cochran, Kate, Danny, and Jack Sheehan; brothers, Bill (Holly) Cochran of Seattle, WA and Mike (Helen) Cochran of Punta Gorda, FL; and sister, Ann (Jim) Willer of Des Moines, IA.

Visitation Services will be Friday January 4th, 2019 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Emmanuel Episcopal Church., Bel Air, MD. Memorial Service will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 10:30am at Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Contributi­ons may be made to: Johns Hopkins Kidney Transplant Program: 600 N.
