PPL Foundation works with Boys & Girls Club

The Boys & Girls Club of Allentown is offering after-school reading and math instruction with the support of the PPL Foundation.

The PPL Foundation recently contributed $5,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Allentown to support its Make Your MARK (Motivated Academically Ready Kids) program.

There are seven Make Your MARK inner-city locations in the Allentown area. Students are actively engaged twice a week in after-school classes. The language arts/reading/English and math materials align with the Allentown School District and Pennsylvania standards for teaching.

Make Your MARK was the recipient of a National Merit

Award in 2018. Only two of these awards are given annually by the Boys & Girls Club of America. KOA Campground has earned the 2019 KOA President’s Award. This award was presented at KOA’s Annual International Convention in Fort Worth, Texas, earlier this month.

KOA surveys hundreds of thousands of campers each year regarding their KOA camping experience. The KOA President’s Award is presented to those campgrounds meeting exceptional quality standards and receiving high customer service scores from their guests.
