New fee but no tax hike for Easton

Easton City Council approved a $36.3 million budget that for the 11th year in a row, does not include a tax increase. However, residents will have to pay a fee of $6.75 a month on average next year to cover federally mandated improvements to the city’s stormwater runoff system, which is dumping too much sediment into the Lehigh River.
