These letter writers make excellent points
Ditto. This is what I wholeheartedly say to letter-to-the-editor writers Gary Schuster (“Can we agree on five public policies?”) and Eileen Ross (“Changing location of Nativity wrong”). They were so on target with a few important topics.
I would like to add that Christmas is to be the day to celebrate the birth of our (in my case) lord. Whether a display is an artificial or live tree and where tasteful scenes are displayed, they should not be harshly regulated. Celebrate Christ.
Also, one must be aware that the Constitution is so out-of-date. Our forebearers could not have anticipated the Industrial Revolution, for example. Regarding religion, the intent was that the government could not force a particular religion on individuals.
I could say so much more, but those individuals who wrote those letters made me want to sit up and cheer.
