Geraldine M. Welsh

Geraldine M. Welsh, 85, of Allentown, passed away Friday December 14, 2018. She was the wife of Donald D. Welsh. They were married 49 years. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Melba (Jones) Reichard. She was a graduate of Kutztown University. Geraldine was an Elementary School teacher at Vera Cruz and Jefferson Schools in the East Penn School District. After retirement she was involved with the PASR. She was a supervisor at the Allentown Playground Association. She enjoyed traveling and was a lifelong fan of baseball, from the Allentown Cardinals to the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; daughters Nancy wife of Joseph Stayer, Debra Ruggiero and companion Joe Conti, Brenda Welsh and wife Tracy; sisters, Shirley Moser, Betty Mensch, and Dorothy wife of Homer Schmoyer, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Services will be 10:30 am Friday December 21,2018 at the Trexler Funeral Home 1625 W. Highland St. Allentown PA 18102. Calling will begin at 9:30 in the Funeral Home. www.trexlerfuneralhome.com
