Richard H. Reeser, 79, of Slatington, formerly of Lehighton, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018, at home. Born March 2, 1939, in Germansvil­le, he was a son of the late Charles H. and Mabel

A. M. (Leiby) Reeser. He graduated from the former Slatington High School in 1957, after graduation, he served in the Army during peacetime from 1957-60, where he attained the rank of corporal. He was the owner and operator of the former Reeser Hotel, Slatington, and was a Slatington Police officer. Richard later was employed by the former Newhart Foods, Terrace Restaurant, Walnutport, and retired from Crayola LLC, Easton. He enjoyed listening to oldies music. Richard was a member of Good Shepherd U.C.C., Slatington.

Survivors: Daughters, Robin, wife of Stephen Lichtenwal­ner of Slatington, Ronica Reeser of Lugoff

SC; son, Rodney Reeser and his wife, Marcella of Bowmanstow­n; two grandsons and two granddaugh­ters; and a great-grandson; loving caregivers, June and Jennifer Frohnheise­r. He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond, and a sister, Elaine Bilheimer. Services: Graveside service at the convenienc­e of the family will be held with military honors. No calling hours. The Reverend James D. Robison Jr. will officiate. Arrangemen­ts by Kevin E. Hunsicker Funeral Home Inc., Slatedale. In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons can be made to the church or the Vigilant Fire Company, both c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box 29, Slatedale, PA 18079-0029.
